Our goal was to offer our Dispatchers pay for industry-leading performance by memorializing a variable compensation plan that was established as a side letter of agreement in 2011.

Fuel costs continue to increase, and every gallon of fuel we save makes a difference. This plan recognizes the value Dispatchers add to the company's fuel performance. Dispatch employees' performance can be clearly measured using several different metrics, including the amount of fuel planned for each flight, route optimization and the number of diversions the airline withstands.
