Changes to the schedule max include dropping the hard monthly maximum and transitioning to a monthly average. This will give pilots greater schedule flexibility month-to-month while giving the company the increased productivity it needs to compete. The monthly range of 72-84 hours allows us to better match supply and demand during months when flying is lighter or heavier.

The company will replace the current line construction system with a modern and competitive Preferential Bidding System (PBS). This will give pilots greater control and flexibility in their schedules while offering the company a more efficient way to administer the bidline construction process.
PBS lets pilots build their lines to their individual preferences, allowing for an improved work/life balance, and eliminates month-to-month conflicts resulting in less reliance on reserves. Implementing PBS will take some time as there are a number of items that must be worked through in order to build the new system; however we will implement changes that enable us to reduce month-to-month conflicts in the interim.
